New Parent Reintegration

We know how hard it can be to come back to work after the birth or adoption of a child. After spending time nurturing your own family, we want to make it as easy as possible for you to transition back into the Ancestry family. The New Parent Reintegration program gives you a flexible way to ease back into work after maternity or parental leave. A phased, gradual return helps to address the challenges new parents often face when deciding if, when, and how to return to work.

The New Parent Reintegration program provides many options for a return-to-work schedule. To qualify, you must be a full-time employee who has returned from maternity, parental, and/or bonding leave following the birth or adoption of a child. Your pay will be adjusted according to your reduced work schedule, but your benefits (medical, dental, vision, etc.) will remain unchanged.

Your written reintegration plan must not exceed six weeks with the following minimum schedule:

  • Weeks 1–3: at least 20 hours worked per week
  • Weeks 4–6: at least 32 hours worked per week
  • After week 6: regular work-week 40 hours or 100% regular schedule

Check out Milk Stork if you are breastfeeding and need to travel on business. Milk Stork can help transport your breast milk home. Note: Milk Stork is not an Ancestry-sponsored benefit.

If you are expecting a child and want to explore reintegration options, please reach out to your manager and People Partner.
