Non-California Employees

Type of Leave Eligibility Benefit Payment Schedule

Maternity

180 days of employment

Up to 12 weeks fully paid

  • First week of disability fully paid by Ancestry
  • Ancestry supplements for weeks covered by STD (up to 11 max)
  • Ancestry fully pays any remaining weeks after STD ends
  • Maximum paid benefit: 12 weeks

Parental
Adoption
Foster Care

180 days of employment

Up to 6 weeks fully paid (Leave must be taken in a minimum of two-week increments)

California Employees

Type of Leave Eligibility Benefit Payment Schedule

Maternity

180 days of employment

Up to 12 weeks fully paid

  • First week of disability fully paid by Ancestry
  • Ancestry supplements for 5 weeks of pay covered by SDI & STD
  • Once you convert to bonding leave (PFL), Ancestry supplements 6 weeks of pay above pay received by state for PFL to satisfy SFPPLO*
  • Maximum paid benefit: 12 weeks

*Effective July 1, 2020, PFL extends the total claim timeframe from six weeks to eight weeks for PFL claims filed July 1, 2020, or after to receive the extended leave benefit. Your initial PFL claim must begin July 1, 2020, or after to receive the extended leave benefit from CA EDD.
