Family and Medical Leave

The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) provides up to 12 weeks of unpaid time off during any 12-month period to care for a serious health condition—either your own or that of a spouse, child, or parent, or to care for a newborn, adopted or newly placed foster child. FMLA leave is available if you’ve been employed at Ancestry for at least a year and worked at least 1,250 hours during the past year. It also provides up to 26 weeks of unpaid time off during a single 12-month period to care for a covered service member with a serious injury or illness, if you’re the spouse, son, daughter, parent, or next of kin of the service member.
