Life insurance provides important financial protection for you and your family.
Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance
Ancestry provides you with a base level of employee life and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance at no cost to you. This coverage provides a benefit of three times your salary, rounded to the next highest $1,000, up to $1 million.
Voluntary Term Life Insurance
To supplement the coverage provided by Ancestry, you can purchase additional term life insurance for yourself as well as voluntary life coverage for your spouse and children.
You can choose coverage from one to seven times your annual compensation (rounded to the next $25,000), up to $1 million.
You are eligible to request up to $250,000 voluntary life during your 30-day new hire period. If you decide to waive voluntary life insurance during your new hire period, you will be required to provide evidence of insurability for any amount you choose.
This coverage is tied to your employment with Ancestry and typically ends if you leave the company. In some cases, you may be able to retain this coverage with the same insurance carrier after you leave Ancestry.
